Masgutova Neuro-Sensory-Motor Reflex Integration (MNRI®)

Masgutova Neuro-sensory-motor Reflex Integration (MNRI®) is based on the work and extensive research of Dr. Svetlana Masgutova.

It is based on the philosophy that reflexes serve as both a protective mechanism but also as a basis for development. Maturation and integration of the reflex system is especially relevant for building the control, motivation, abstract thinking, creativity and skillful intentional behavior for academic achievement.

Most primary reflexes are integrated by the time the child is two years of age. If a child has developmental challenges or suffers an illness or an injury, it is possible that, the reflex never emerged in the first place, the reflex emerged and was not integrated or, the integrated reflex re-emerges to protect the child and then is not re-integrated.

The goal is to promote healthy development in which the reflex system is ready when needed for protection and survival and at the same time provides a solid foundation for physical, motor, emotional, cognitive and language development.

The program uses a prescribed variety of reflex integration techniques to promote these skills. These techniques are used in the clinic, but also taught to parents and caregivers for follow through at home.
